Ok..we have alot of people signing up. Say hi, post a message, tell us what you been up to. Its been 20 years peeps, something happened :)
I'll start it off.
After I graduated from High School I went right to work for a General contractor designing houses. I did that for 3.5 years then got offered more money to do do Kitchen Design. I moved over to Cabinet Creations and designed, sold and installed kitchens for 7 years. All the while I was doing computer work on the side. Shortly after hitting my 7th year I had a friend from the Internet offer me an IT job in Dallas, I as about to take it when a friend here told me about an IT job paying about the same in Freeport. I took that job and didn't move. I got married that same year. I've been working for Blue Ridge International for 9 years as the Information Systems Manager. I bought a house in the same neighborhood I grew up in and I have two boys. Connor is 6 soon to be 7 and Rhys (pronouced Reece) is 3. Both are avid Steelers fans like their dad and love sports. I've been married for 9 years to Rachelle and she's still putting up with my crap. Thank god :)
Anyway, that is a brief synopsis...so what the hell has everyone else been doing?

I'm here in Pensacola. Came here to go to school, married, and decided to stay. Been married 13 years this October. Have 6 yr & 7 yr old boys. Handsome as can be. After several years as an academic advisor/instructor at the University of West Florida, I left for the corporate world of Instructional Design. Currently working for a military contractor based out of Norfolk, VA. Not sure how much longer I'll stay in this business. Looking to work at my boys' school so that I can have the same hours as they do...just gotta figure out how to deal with the drastic pay cut.
That's me in a nutshell. Hope we get more people interested in a 20 yr reunion.

What's up everybody,
Still live in the country outside of Birmingham, One little girl 5.5, 4 cats, 2 dogs and counting(wife manages a Vet. clinic). Still working for the same commerical general contactor. I had a large project down in Destin last year and I was down there every week. I can't believe how crowded and busy everything is now. It is not the same old 'ville
I would be willing to help some with the reunion. I did a little bit with Stephanie last time. Still don't have a computer at home(old school) but we did manage to get a phone and indoor plumbing some time back. :)
I would be great to see everyone again. We are flexible on the dates. Let me know what I can do.

I'm Rebecca Bandy, was Becki Smith long ago. After Niceville I lived in Marianna, FL then Bainbridge, GA then Gainesvile, FL where I met my sweet husband Kyle and then to Tampa, FL for 8 years. Back to Niceville for a year and then back to Tampa. We moved to Rockville, MD (15 miles north of D.C.) about a year ago and I finally saw snow for the first time! I've been doing IT/Help Desk work for about 5 years and I currently work for Ernst & Young (big 4 accounting firm) in D.C. as part of the IT/Help Desk group. I've been happily married for 6 years, no kids for me, and one high maintenance kitty cat.
I think this is a great site, thanks TC! And thanks to Kathy Bailey (Mason) for sharing!

Wow! It is great to have a site where we can all keep in touch or get back in touch with our past.
After graduating from Niceville I moved out to Ft Walton and met my Kids father who was in the military at the time. He got out and moved back to New York City and I went with him. Later, after 2 kids, Alexia who is 11 now and Rece who is turning 7, things didn't work out so I moved back to Niceville.
Here is the crazy part...
At a PAL soccer game a ran into Berry Drake (my high school boyfriend) who was also divorced with a little boy, Chandler....9 months later we became Mr and Mrs Berry Drake...crazy huh. We now live in Bluewater with the 3 kids Alexia, Chandler and Rece. I am currently in the mortgage industry and Berry is an aircraft electrician and works in Pensacola. We are both heavily involved in the kids' sports programs. I sit on the board of the travel soccer club and Berry coaches both boys in baseball. While in New York for the 11 years I was there a thoroughly enjoyed and would move back in a heartbeat if I didn't have the kids. I do love being back home by my family. It is a more quality life for the kids and the whole family
As far as the reunion...Whatever the majority votes are...I can deal. I kind of like the idea of the homecoming thing also because Friday night football nights were a big thing back in our days and it would be a great setting for reminiscing (sp). I am going to offer to help with whatever you guys need help with..just let me know

After high school, I got my AA at OWJC and went to UF for a couple years. I moved back to FWB where I met my husband. He was a friend of Sherri Young's fiance and drove the drunken bachelorette party around town. We have been married since Nov. 1999 and have three sons - Tanner (7), Jared (5) and Matthew (3). I am a stay at home mom and LOVE it. I spend most of my time driving to boy scouts, gymnastics, baseball, soccer, basketball and school. In my limited free time, I've been doing genealogy research on both mine and my husband's families. I try to squeeze in a little time for gardening, crafts, reading and travel. In the past 4 years, I've been to Finland, Russia, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Belarus, Vegas and rafting down the Colorado River and camping in the Grand Canyon. And am planning and saving for more. I can't wait to see everyone.

Great site and good date for Homecoming weekend if it comes through. I tend to agree w/Joe Ellis on his posting that if a larger reunion can't be planned by this date, maybe a smaller scale social type deal can be held for those that want to meet then followed by a bigger event in the summer. All of you with kids probably find traveling during the summer easier anyway, but not that I would know.
After graduating from NHS and an AA at OW, went on to UF where I got my degree in graphics in 93. I lived in Wilmington, NC for almost 8 years before an opportunity came up to move back to the area. You may remember me by my (then) last name of Colon-took my stepfathers name when I turned 21. We currently own 2 retail stores, one on Pensacola Beach and our new one in Navarre (Island Style on Highway 98). Come say hi, locals! I live in Navarre and have been in a great 13 year marriage-no kids-one retired racing greyhound. We're heavily involved in both the Navarre and Pens Bch chambers of commerce and can get some decent rates on hotels or areas to meet-I know its a little far from Niceville, but an option if needed. I also chat online with Corey Shelton, Tracey Drewitt and Becky (Lange) so there's 3 more contacts.
Let me know how I can help!

Hello. While I was dumb enought to leave in the middle of my senior year at NHS and follow boyfriend (Gordon Lederman, now ex-husband); we're still friends) to Albuquerque, NM, I still consider myself an Eagle. After all, I went from Ruckel to NHS. Between marriages, divorces, and kids, it only took me 11 years to get a BA in English. I really messed up leaving UNM at the end of my Junior year --transferring credits and what not.
I came back to Niceville in 1993 with my eldest, Evan, who was only 3 at the time. He will be a Senior in the fall. He is an honor roll student at RBCS, and a tremendously gifted musician. He plays drumset in Jazz Band, is drumline leader in Marching Band, and percussion section leader in symphonic band. He also started a garage band, and they just recorded their first three (original) songs at the Playground Recording Studio in Valp.
I jumped into another marriage with my second son's dad. Dylan is 11 and he loves fishing and learning all about horses. His dad and I split after I got saved.
I ended up marrying again in 2002. My husband had been a brief boyfriend 20 years earlier. He had never married and say that he used to pray that God would open up a door so that I could be his wife. He got his prayer answered and we've been married for 5 years. We have two sons together. James is 3 and a wonderful handful who is far smarter than any 3 year old needs to be. His brother, Bailey is 7 1/2 months old and just got his first tooth. Bailey's a big, big boy, too. He weighs 23 pounds and is 29 inches tall and is a happy baby.
I have worked at RBCS teaching middle/high school english and literature for special services. I also taught college prep english at OWC for two sememster and then I had Bailey. After two lay-offs in 8 months (and only having had 3 different jobs in 20+ years), my husband is going back to school. So, I'm going to try to tutor, so I don't have to go back to work full-time. If anyone has kids who need help in English, literature, or writing, let me know.
I got on this site for Mary Waller (Knepp) who was worried that the reunion had come and gone. She really wants to attend even though she didn't get to graduate with the class, also. Have any final decisions been made about the reunion? I'd love to go and see everyone.

Hi. I left for Anchorage to go to the University of Alaska, and to live with my father in 1987. Became a Christian shortly after that and moved to Chicago to attend the Moody Bible Institute. Got married, graduated, moved to Philadelphia to attend Westminster Theological Seminary. Two kids, graduated, took a pastoral internship for a year, passed all my ordination exams, then moved to NC in Dec. 2000 to pastor a small Presbyterian church (mtairyopc.org). Two more kids, got some pets (Charger, Fancy, Ding Dong, and The Cat without a Name), purchased a house, and started working on another master's degree in Historical Theology through Westminster's London program. Still play the drums feverishly (myspace.com/brntfrry). I miss Niceville... some. Not sure if I can make it to a reunion, but it is nice to read about what people are doing.

Hey Brent. We didn't really "know" each other in HS, but I remember how awesome it was when you were homecoming king. My son, Evan, (17 yo) is a drummer for Rocky Bayou Christian School Marching Band, Symphonic Band, Pep Band, and Jazz Band. He has wonderful God-given talents as a musician and he is a strong academic student. I came to know our Lord in 2000, and my 2 oldest shortly thereafter. It was the greatest thing to ever happen to us.

Well hello everyone. Tim Cole here. I finally got around to registering on the site today, thanks Brent.
About me. After graduation, Berry Drake and I joined the Navy together. He went to Norfolk and I came to Pensacola. I worked avionics in a Helicopter Squadron for six years before getting out and going to work for Sikorsky Aircraft Corp. in Connecticut. I finally got back down south working for a contractor, L-3, back in Pensacola. I recently took a new position as a Training Specialist working for NITC (Naval International Training Center). It's a great job and I get to travel all over the world.
I am also an Active Reservist in the Air Force Special Operations. I drill right on Eglin. I was activated after 9-11 and was deployed several times in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
I am married to a lovely woman, Kimberly, I met here in Pensacola and we have two wonderful daughters. Morgan, 16, and Danielle, 9. They are my life. We have been married for 11 years.
I still play drums. I have two sets now. One for practice and one for playing out. I also own a small production company here in town and I run sound for local and regional acts.
I'm supposed to be in India in November, but if there's anything I can do to help out since I'm close, just let know.

Time flies.
I am currently living in the Atlanta area. I went to OW then FSU and graduated in 93. Moved to Kansas followed by Washington state and Georgia. All job related moves. I am an aerospace engineer.
Married and have 2 boys aged 15 and 6. They take up most of my time and I am very active in coaching their baseball, football and soccer teams. My 15 year old is the same height and weight I was when I graduated-jeez.
Not sure if I can make it in November but will try. Hope all are doing well.

Hard to believe it! My husband of 13 yrs and I left here in 94 to live overseas for 6 yrs, 3 in Germany and 3 in England. We traveled all over Europe and England. My parents came over to Europe and we all back packed over 5 countries using the train system, it was wild! We have 2 boys, Trevor 9 and Travis 4, who are also involved with Soccer and Baseball and probably football for the 4 yr old. We moved from Crestview last year to Niceville and are much happier down here. We paid our dues up there for 5 yrs to get here. Anyway, I stay at home with my kids mostly but I have been substitute teaching for the past year and like it. Great extra income.
Hope to see you all at the reunion!

Reading all these messages really brings back some great memories. I hope more people will post a little about themselves.
After graduation, I headed off to Auburn and graduated in '91 in Electrical Engineering. From there I ended up in Huntsville, AL, even after I swore I'd live anywhere but AL after college. I've been here ever since. Met my wife, Rhonda, in '93, we'll be married 14 years this Sept. We held off having kids for several years and are now blessed with 2 boys, Tyler 8 and Jake 4. I've been working for the Army for 15 years developing, producing, and fielding Rocket and Missile Systems to our men and women in uniform. In my spare time I enjoy taking my boys hunting, fishing, and camping when we're not on the soccer field. I'll try to make it in Nov. As everyone has said already, great job TC, this forum is excellent.

Thanks, hopefully I get some time soon to "Eaglize" it a bit. Football is coming though and I'll be coaching so that will take a lot of time ;) I too, hope more people keep posting. Basically I just wanted to make sure we had a location for everyone to stay in touch. Glad to see everyone starting to post!
It's so nice to read what's been going on with every-one! :)
As for myself, I am living in Fort Walton Beach. I attended OW (slow W as I called it) seven years after gratuating from NHS and it took me about seven years to graduate .... ;) no, not that long...but a few years - as I was raising a daughter and working two jobs. I had a second daughter and a stroke --- then finally got serious about school. I graduated a year later from UWF in 1999.
After receiving a Bachelors Degree (Community Health Education), I worked as a HAZMAT Instructor and Case Manager (at OASIS - our local HIV/AIDS organization). I am currently an Employment Consultant helping individuals with various disabilities find employment.
I have two daughters, Jasmine (17) and J'La (10) born seven years apart to the day! Jasmine is a Senior at Choctawhatchee and J'La attends Liza Jackson Preparatory School. I stay busy volunteering at various school and community activities.
I hope to see many of you in November!

Thanks to Debbie for hookin' me up! I was wondering if I was going to get a reminder of just how long it's been since we all got together!!!! I don't feel 20 years older. I graduated from the Univ. of Southern Miss. and moved down to New Orleans to start my nursing career, met a guy, got married, got a dog, got divorced! Met my wonderful husband, Eric, on a blind date at a hockey game and we got married after moving to Orlando together. Eric is a commercial architect and I'm a flight nurse for Florida Hospital Orlando. In April, we, along with 3 year-old Ryan, welcomed our second son, Benjamin, into our lives. Life is crazy and wonderful! It's great to read what everyone is up to. Hope we can all get together soon!

Hi everyone,
It's Alisa Honstetter now Peters, so much easier of a last name,LOL.
This is an awesome site and so cool to reconnect with people again after 20 years.
I moved from Niceville in 91 to south FL after getting my AA degree at OW, went to USF and have a degree in education. I have been married for 10 years now and have a 5 yr. old little Kailtyn. She keeps me busy cause we are so much alike! I have been working for Girl Scouts for 10 years and am now a director for all the administrative services for 10 counties that we cover. It is a great oragnization and really helps girls with a great direction in life to be independant.
I get to Niceville about 3 times a year but never see anyone around. I still keep in touch with Sherry Marcolongo, she is about the only one I can find.
Hopefully this site helps us all stay in touch.
I am coming home for the reunion, so hope to see you there!

Funny- Debbie and I were talking in early July about any reunion news- unfortunately I will be in Germany in November. Maybe I'll be around the next time.
Since graduation... I attended Livingston University and graduated in 1992 with a special ed degree. I taught in Montgomery for a year, then decided to move closer to my family in Anchorage, Alaska. I met my husband Ben here right after my move and, after many years of dating and some seperation, we married in 1997. Since then we have spent all but 2 years in Alaska. He is a contracting officer in the Air Force and I have been teaching special ed in an elementary school. In October the military is sending us to Germany for 3 years. Debbie assures me I'll love it!
We have 3 girls, ages 8, 6, and 1, and (because my husband thinks I'm crazy) have another girl on the way. I believe we will regret this in a few years when their hormones kick in. LOL
It was great to read what everyone has been up to. Would love to hear more!

Hey everyone it's Jacque Root. Ronald and I married in 1991 after dating 6 years. We've been married 16. ( He hates he can't count the other 6.) He has worked in the Healthcare field for 15 years now and we have moved 6 times, but only lived in three states Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee. I ended up a chef instead of a nurse, but resturant life does not work well for family life and became a stay at home Mom about 8 years ago. We have three kids, Kayla 14, Nathan 12, and Avery 6. It is hard to believe I have a daughter heading to high school. We moved to a farm outside of Murfreesboro TN last summer, because we longed for the small town lifestyle again. This was the 1st time we moved because we wanted too. We love it and plan to be there forever. I started work part-time as an event planner this past year since all the kids are in school now. It is extra money and I am still home when the kids are. We travel to Niceville several times a year because Ronald's parents still live there and should be able to make November.
It will be great to see everyone.

Tammie Hughes here now Colbert, can't believe it has been 20 years since high school! After high school I went to OW and Troy State and worked several years at Eglin Federal Credit Union. I met my wonderful husband Mark in 96 and we married in 97. We have one son Nicholas who is 2. My husband is Air Force and we were lucky to have just spend the last two and a half years back at Eglin. Prior to coming back home we had been stationed in Louisiana twice and Alabama. We just moved back to Alabama last month and will be here a short 10 months. Who knows were we will end up next but it is always a great adventure! I am looking forward to seeing everyone in November.

Hi everyone! This is Becky (Van Devander) Shelton. I went on to Auburn after high school and received a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. I moved right after graduation to Decatur, AL where I have been working for the last 17 years for Amoco/BP Chemicals. I remarried in 1997 and received an MBA in 1999 from Florida Tech. I have a wonderful husband, Steve, one stepson, Keith, 25 (soon to graduate from Auburn), one stepdaughter, Trisha, 23 (graduating from Auburn this fall), Alex, 4, and triplets - Eli, Elizabeth, and Ethan, 3. I don't know if I can trick anyone into keeping the kids, but I'll try to be there in the fall.
Hope to see and hear from y'all soon!

I remember, once upon a time, when 20 years was a long time! Doesn't seem like it has been that long!
Don't know who will remember me, I wasn't exactly a social butterfly in High School. Had my friends and was pretty shy and so didn't stray much from that circle of friends.
Still live in the area, never left. One disastrous marriage down. Remarried last year to a wonderful woman. I am a security guard at Silver Sands and Grand Boulevard in Destin. Still haven't decided for sure what I'm going to be when I grow up. My primary goal at the moment is not growing up.
Don't know if I'll be able to make the reunion this year, but I'll certainly try. I'd love to see everyone again and see who I have more hair and less wrinkles than (or vice versa)!
Lauren Moore (Carper)

Lauren Carper here. It doesn't seem like 20 years! After graduation, I spent a year at OW and then went to Troy State and got my Music Ed degree, which is collecting dust as we speak. Now I'm living in Alabaster, Alabama (one town up from Foote) running limo service for Trey -13, Kirsten-12, and Mary Beth - 10. Trey's in band, Kirsten does choir /drama and Mary Beth is VERY into dance, so we have our own one family fine-arts department! My other job is teaching 3-k.

Where did the 20 yrs go?? I recognised several names while reading through this thread.
In HS, I hung out with Sharon Taylor (then girlfriend, now my wife), Lisa Roberts, Brian Majors, John Lee and a couple of other people. After HS, I moved to S. Georgia. Went to tech school for drafting. Took a job drawing up house plans. Left there and after a few other jobs, wound up working for Amtrak. I've been with them for about 14 years now.
Sharon and I kept in touch and wound up getting back together and have been married for a little over 11 years now. 3 kids, 2 cars, 1 house,1 dog, 2 cats and 6 snakes.
I should be around for the homecoming game. If I am, I'll come by and hang out. Helen Back afterwards sound cool.
Take it easy,
Rob

Hi ya'll,
I haven't ran into too many people from high school, so this is pretty cool. After graduating I married Leslie Landry and we had two sons, Alex turns 18 next month and Brandon turns 13 in February. I became a Firefighter in 1989 and went to work for the Destin FD for 2 yrs and then moved over to the FWB FD and have been there since (except for a brief stint in central Fla). I became a paramedic in 1994 and went on to become a Flight Paramedic in Pensacola on my days off from the FD. I recently graduated from the Police Academy and I work part-time as a S.W.A.T. Medic/Police Officer for the FWB Police Dept. I live in Gulf Breeze. I still play the drums and still ride motorcycles. I guess that's about it in a nutshell. I look forward to seeing everybody again.

Hello everyone,
After NHS, I went on to attend OWCC to obtain my AA followed on with a BSBA in Marketing from UWF all the while working sometimes two jobs at a time which accounts for my four year degrees in a 7 year stretch. I guess my summer holidays to England almost each and every year to visit my family on that side of the pond had slowed down my progress. While going to school I worked in some form of IT position whether at Vanguard Bank in Valparaiso, American Express in Atlanta, Medical Center Clinic in Pensacola, and now currently Instructional System Design for a Defense Contractor at Tyndall AFB. So I apparently have marketed myself in computer-based work and design. : ) I think sometimes that I may one day try and find an IT job in the United Kingdom.
While in Pensacola, I met my wife six years ago and we just clicked and have been happily married for 5 years. I now have a lovely daughter and life has been good for me and my family. Now living in Lynn Haven and having me and my wife's family in Pensacola we now have to make the occasional Danny's Chicken stop because I introduced my in-laws to it and now they are fanatics. (My mother-in-law constantly reminds me not to forget the Danny's sauce everytime we say we will bring some to Pensacola.) Actually each time I see Niceville, I notice the changes that have occured over the years, but the spirit of this wonderful town remains the same...It is great to still see it as a wonderful place to be. Maybe I need to find a job there??? Hmmm!!!
Go Eagles!

Hi everyone! Diane Schreiber here. I absolutely love this site. I have hardly heard anything about our renunions, usually always after the fact, so I am really looking forward to the 25 year! Please keep me up to date, as I really want to attend. I don't get back to Niceville very often as my parents moved to Ocala a couple of years ago.
I'll give everyone an update on where I am. After high school I went to OW to get the AA degree then a year at FSU, my boyfriend put a ring on my finger so I came home and got married in 91 and took a job at Eglin Credit Union in Shalimar. I got my BS in Business Management at UWF in 94, and then got divorced in 95, no children. I have worked for AAFES at Eglin AFB, and then in 96 took a job with AT&T Universal Card in Jacksonville, FL till 2000. Then I took a job in St Petersburg, FL with Equifax in 2000 and have been at the same company since. It has changed names 3 times, first Equifax, then Certegy and now FIS (Fidelity National Information Services). I am a Director of Fraud Prevention. I love my job, it keeps me very busy. I am still single and looking. I travel frequently, spent about 2 months in 2004 in England for my work, and traveled back to Scotland with my mom and sister the same year. I travel for work about 10 times a year. Mostly to Arkansas as I manage a site over there as well as in St Petersburg, FL. I have 2 dogs, Vegas, a pit bull mix and a Westie named Bella. Love them to death. My favorite thing to do is scubadive, it has taken me all over the place. My other favorite thing to do is Vacation. Love cruises, international travel, and anywhere fun like Vegas! I have a Vegas trip scheduled for May, and then a cruise to Alaska in August.
The only person I have kept in constant contact with through the years is Dianna Johnson (Holbrook) so thanks to her for telling me about this site. I am very eager to talk to everyone so please feel free to email me to catch up. I will try to get a hold of Kim Castilo (Carter), I have her email so she can sign up too. Hopefully will speak to some of you soon! Diane

Hi everyone Crystal Hobbs here!! Before I tell my story I want to let all of you people know that i am very very upset that i live in NICEVILLE!!!!! and no body contacted or even attempted to contact me about the reunion. I was on Myspace doing a search the other night and happened to find Corey Shelton. Thank you Corey by the way for directing me to this site. I will be at the 25 year reunion!!!! Ok so where do I begin. I am a nurse for Sacred Heart in Destin and have been a nurse for 7 years now. Before that I did a multitude of things. But I will try to make this short, I still live here and have only lived one other place which was Las Vegas for 2 years back in 90-92. I have 3 wonderful children that are my entire life. 15 year old Brandyn, 13 year old Brantley and a 7 year old Savana. I have been married (and Divorced) twice. I have yet to figure out how to turn off the neon sign that must be above my head saying LOSERS WHO DONT KNOW HOW TO KEEP A JOB OR PAY YOUR BILLS APPLY HERE!!!! But I am happily single and the only thing I really do is go sing Karaoke from time to time at the Block. So any of you peeps that still live in the area you might catch me out there belting a few out. It is sooo good to read all the posts and I tell ya a few tears came to my eyes when I looked at the reunion pics. Love all you guys :p

Crystal. We tried to get the word out. We actually had the announcement posted on the City Sign at the top of Boggy Bayou for nearly a month.
Unfortunately with the late start we had to depend upon people to get the word out by word of mouth. I did the best I could to get the site to the top of search engines so that if you typed in Niceville Class of 1987 it popped up first. Regardless of that. Our 25th is not that far away so get the word out to everyone you know so that we aren't misisng anyone the next time around :)
