Our 20th just go over, but we are going to start planning for the 25 now. We learned alot from this event and want to make sure we have an even better 25.
The single most important thing we need to do is get the word out. Get everyone you know to sign up here so that they can get updates as we work on the next reunion. In the next month or so there is going to be a new private section of the site set up. I will post more contact information on people there to help make getting a hold of people easier.
Feedback. Comments, suggestions, tips etc? Feel free to post or send us email or private messages. If you want to get involved and help with the 25th, by all means let us know. The more the merrier. Just because you don't live in Niceville or the surrounding area doesn't' mean you can't be involved. Luckily, the internet makes the world a very small place.
And finally. This site. This site will be maintained until there aren't any of us around to come to a reunion. I want to be sure that we have a central location that everyone can come to, to get updates, stay in touch with people and find people they have lost track of.
Heck, post up when you are heading to major cities I'm sure if any alumni leave near by they would love to get together for dinner or something. I know that when I travel, I'd love to hang out with someone vs. sitting in the hotel.
Well, in closing...get the word out folks. We have about 280 or so people to track down before the 25 year reunion. :D

I would just like to take a few minutes to say "thanks" to all who took time out of their busy lives to put this together. Although we did not have the whole graduating class or even half of the class there it was a great time had by all. Thanks to the committee for getting everything planned out. Berry and I had a great time and even got to know people we never even knew in high school. Hopefully we can start getting people together now for the 25 year reunion. I know of a few that live here in the area that didn't show up.
I look forward to keeping in touch with all of you and seeing you in 5 years.

And to think.. I almost didn't go. Wow! It was so nice to get to talk to so many of those I never really spoke to in school and get to know them! But I understand I was mean in school... hmmm... Didn't mean to be! Anyhoo... I had an awesome time and can't wait to go to the 25! I liked the idea of the pay as you go as opposed to the reunion fee we had at the 10 year reunion, but I would like us to see if we can at least get some kind of fee for the 25 so we can order shirts, trinkets, beverage glasses, soda can huggers (yeah, right) or something to have to take home from the 25th reunion. By that time, some of us may have trouble remembering where we've been all weekend. For that matter, I believe there are some that can't remember where all they were this past weekend!!
Thanks again to all who made it a wonderful weekend. And to the one that made that great offer, (you know who you are), I might just take you up on that..... ;)

I had a thought ---
Since everyone had such a good time and so many of us live locally or close enough, how about we keep a standing date every year at homecoming. If you can make it great, if not there's always another year. Nothing big, just something fun. That way we can have mini reunions every year for anyone that can't make the big ones. We can stay in touch, keep track of as many as we can and brainstorm for future reunions.

Tamie-
That is a great idea!! Berry and I are game for that. We are usually at all the
home games anyway.

I had a wonderful time catching up with former classmates. I think the homecoming game idea is great, and I'd love to help with the 25--just let me know what I can do. Thanks to all who helped!!!!!!!!
Michelle, did Barry tell Bill about the reunion? He might know where some other classmates are, too.

That sounds like a great idea. I think Homecoming mixed in with a dinner once a year would be a great way to catch up with our class.

Please, beg, threaten or plead everyone you keep in touch with to register on this site. The more people we know how to get in touch with before big reunions, the better. That is the most difficult part of planning a reunion - finding everyone. If we can get contact information for as many classmates as possible now, the next reunion hopefully will have a better turnout. We just didn't have the time for this one to try to find everyone. We now have a private section only accessable to classmembers to post addresses and emails. I'm trying to compile a master book of addresses, phone #, emails, families and whatever else we know about each other. If anyone doesn't feel comfortable posting contact info here - you can always email it to me and I'll keep it to myself in the "big book". If you know anyone who hasn't registered and know a little bit about where they are now, what they are doing, who they married, where their parents are, let me know. You would be surprised what little bit of information is needed to find someone. We would like to give our entire class an opportunity to attend future reunions.
Enough rambling - you get the message. We want to know where everyone is. It makes getting ready for reunions MUCH easier.
PS - I was inspired by Brett Howe (or more acurately his mother) and dug through my boxes. I found an old photo album from high school. I am working on scanning the pictures and WILL post them on our photo gallery site. Feel free to add any old pictures to the site. You never know when they may pop up at reunions. - You never thought you would see your senior picture again, did you!!!

The book is finished. I have a page for everyone in the class, so we can keep up with everyone for future reunions. I have also posted searches on the private forum. Please, we need everyone to look through the lists and post whatever you know about anyone. Any little bit can help.

We had a "meeting" (dinner & drinks) last night to start the ball rolling for our 25th class reunion. There are only 5 of us actively working on the reunion right now. We can always use more help. Any tiny bit you think you can contribute will help greatly. It's really not the big chore you may think it is and the more people we have helping, the less work it is for everyone involved.
I now have everyone's addresses they submitted at the 20th. I also have the information sheets some of you filled out at the 10-year. I'll go through those and start cold-calling the contacts you gave. So warn your families if you gave parents as a contact and let spouses know a strange woman may be calling the house to see if you really live there. We have many, many classmates we don't know how to get in touch with. PLEASE contact everyone you keep in touch with and get them to sign up on this site. This is the quickest and easiest way for us to keep everyone informed as to what is going on.
We discussed, last night, setting up a paypal and bank account for our class. We will use these for reunion funds. This website does cost about $60/year to keep running and so far TC has been covering that cost. If the members can contribute 1 or 2 dollars a year, it will help greatly and it will also create a fund we can draw from for any initial expenses we have when we start setting up the reunions. We will keep everyone informed of the account balances and expenses.
We would also like to post a newsletter on this site. We need input from everyone - new marriages, partners, divorces, losses, babies, pets, jobs. Good and bad, we are interested in what is going on in everyone's lives. We will also include current events in Niceville for those of you that have left the area. Anything you would like to add to the newsletter, please EMAIL to Sherry Marcolongo - smarcolongo@cox.net We don't want any sneak peaks on this web site:eek:
And lastly - the 25th reunion is your reunion too. It's our silver anniversary!! We have some ideas for it, but what do you want to do. If you have any ideas or suggestions, please post them and let us know.
And now a warning - I got a new toy for Christmas - a Kodak all-in-one printer, scanner, copier. I have been given some pictures from the 10-year reunion and I found a photo album from high school. I have to play with my new toy and what better than putting those pictures on our photo-sharing class site!! :D
A lot of people came to the 20th, took pictures and haven't put them on the site. TC spent a lot of time setting that up for us and it barely has any pictures on it. SEND IN YOUR PICTURES!!!!!!
