It's still not too late to come!!!!

If you are still considering coming, please do. The turnout for the reunion is really low and we have lots of room if you still want to show up. By Oct 12 I will try to have the final schedule posted with times and places for everyone. I know a lot of people still live in the area. We will have three days of VERY inexpensive events planned. We will just need a $5.00 donation from each classmate to help cover the few expenses we will have. I hope to see lots of classmates over the reunion weekend. Even if you can't make it, please send a current photo (my email is posted below) of you and/or your family.

Start making plans --
We have finally gotten a schedule (sorta) for the reunion. It will mostly be a pay your own way with a minimum cost you can pay to one of the reunion committee the weekend of the reunion. We'll get the prices for everything out shortly. I just wanted everyone to know what is going on so you can make plans to come. This will just be a small reunion, but we would like to plan something big for our 25.

Fri., Nov. 2, 2007 - Homecoming game. We are going to try to reserve a block of seats for us on the visitor side. We will find a place to get together either before the game or perhaps at the Helen Back Cafe after the game.

Sat., Nov. 3, 2007 - Reunion dinner. This will probably be at The Crab Trap (http://maps.google.com/maps?ie=UTF-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-a&dq=crab+trap+loc:+Destin,+FL&daddr=3500+Scenic+Highway+98,+Destin,+FL+32541&geocode=6213820249778736699,30.380991,-86.410035&ll=30.380991,-86.410035&iwstate1=dir:to&iwloc=A&f=d) in Destin. They have a room in the back that holds about 100. If we go over that, we can spill into the resturant. They will serve us a limited menu, so this will be a pay your own. The dinners are $10-$20 plus whatever bar tab you run up.

Sun., Nov. 4, 2007 - Family picnic. Since many of you will most likely be going home today, it will be a bring-your-own picnic at the children's park in Niceville. We will try to get the city's grill going if anyone wants to grill.

Now, we need to know who is coming. Please email me at adamant30@cox.net I need to know what days you will be participating in and how many people (spouse, children, date, other) you will be bringing with you. I need a confirmation by Sept. 28. so we can let all all the venues know. Even if you can't make it, and want to be there in spirit, send me a current picture and I'll make a board of those who couldn't make it. Nobody cares what you look like now, nobody looks like they did in high school (at least they better not:mad:), just send a picture of you and your family and I'll make a "brag board". And if you are coming and want a picture up send it in.
Please, let everyone from our class you keep in touch with know.

Wish I could be there, unfortunately it's the last weekend of rehearsals for my older daughter's play and my youngest is dancing three parts in the Alabama Ballet's Nutcracker and she has rehearsals for that too, so I guess I'll be seeing you in 5 years!:)

Fri, Nov. 2, is my youngest son's first birthday, so I'm not too sure I'll be at the game, but I'll try.

Sat. Probably myself and my husband. Mary Waller (Knepp) wants to join us, but I'm not sure if she'll bring her husband.

Sun. sounds good if it is in the afternoon (after church). Sun. would be myself, my husband, and 4 kids (17, 12, 3, and 1).

This is the schedule for the reunion. If you didn't let us know you were coming, please come anyway. The cost is minimal and we have lots of room for more. So far only 25 classmates are coming. We do just ask for $5.00 per classmate to cover some of our costs, we'll collect it Saturday at dinner. Also, please bring or email to adamant30@cox.net a current picture of you and your family.

Nov. 2 - Homecoming game - Niceville vs. Washington (Pensacola). The gates open at 5:30PM and the game starts at 7:00PM. Ticket prices are $6.00 for adults and $4.00 for school age children. We are still trying to get a section of seats reserved for us. We're hoping to get seats on the home side, but may have to settle for the visitor side. Check back here the week of the game and I'll post where our seats will be. Wear your maroon and gold!!!

Nov. 3 - Reunion dinner - Dinner will be at the Crab Trab in Destin. The resturant is at James Lee Park on Old 98 (3500 Old Hwy 98 E). The number to the resturant is 654-2722,if you need directions. We will be there at 5:00PM for drinks and appetizers and dinner from 6:00PM-9:00PM. If you have never been to the resturant, it is a very casual resturant on the beach - jeans are OK, no need to dress up. It will be a cash bar and we will have a limited dinner menu ($15.99 - $24.99). If anyone is vegetarian or has any diet restrictions, let me know and I'll see what I can arrange with the resturant. If we want to go anywhere after dinner, we can decide then. Please bring $5.00 per classmate to cover the few expenses we have and a current picture of you and your family.

Nov. 4 - Family day - Bring your family to the children's park in Niceville. The park is on Partin Dr. (Hwy 285) between City Hall and the Episcopalian Church. We reserved the center section of the park from 2:00PM - 7:00PM. Bring your own lunch, we are still trying to get the city's grill if anyone wants to use it. I (Tamie Nowka) will bake enough desserts for everyone.

Don't forget your cameras. I look forward to seeing everyone again.

Is there going to be anything going on after the game? I may not be able to make the game but, I plan to attend the dinner on Saturday and may be able to meet up with people after the game on Friday.
